What is BLS?

BLS (Basic Life Support) is a course offered and designed by the American Heart Association for healthcare professionals to learn to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR to victims of all ages, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.

The BLS CPR class consists of a combination of video, hands-on, and written tests in order for the student to display they understand the basics and principles. Once the student passes they can receive and American Heart Association BLS CPR card.
